Obligations of tourist accommodation

Who should have foreign tourists fill out an individual police form?

Anyone renting out tourist accommodation (whether or not on a professional basis) to foreign guests must have them complete an individual police form.

It may be one of the following tourist accommodations: Hotel, Residence or residential tourist village, Furnished tourist accommodation, Bed and breakfast, Campsite...

Data to retrieve and store

Foreign customers must complete and sign the police form on arrival.

The form includes the following information: Surname and first names, Date and place of birth, Nationality, Usual place of residence, Mobile phone number and e-mail address, Date of arrival at the tourist accommodation and expected date of departure.

Keeping police records

The host must keep the police record for 6 months.

He must hand it over to the police and gendarmerie at their request (automatic transmission is no longer compulsory since 2015).

A clause in the rental contract may authorize the lessor to fill in the individual police form with the information obtained at the time of booking, so that the customer only has to sign the form on arrival.
